What types of tobacco products are used in Europe?

Tobacco can be smoked, sucked, chewed, or sniffed. Cigarette smoking is the predominant way that people use tobacco in the European Union; about 28% of people older than 18 years currently smoke and less than 1% use smokeless tobacco except in Sweden. Tobacco is also sold as cigars, loose tobacco for hand-rolled cigarettes or for pipes, water-pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco, and tobacco that can be sucked or sniffed (snuff, moist or dry).

More details on tobacco products are provided in Table 1.
